About Me:

When I'm not performing in drag, you can call me Joe. I live in Philadelphia, PA with my husband and our dog and cat. I have an educational background in Electrical and Computer Engineering (she's educated!) and for my day job, I work as a Business Analyst with a technical background in software development. I love to run, lift some weights in the gym (c'mon Heavens 2 Bicep!), play volleyball, practice yoga, sit back and do some reading, and of course, spend as much time as possible with my family and friends. All in all, I have a well rounded and fulfilling life, one I am grateful for each and every day.
I began performing in drag nearly 7 years ago in Philly. I'll share the full story in person if you're interested to hear, but I'll say Heavens 2 Betsy was born on a whim with the help and encouragement of my husband and some friends. Performing quickly became my creative outlet and a way to build community with other the drag performers in the area. Those early years of performing were so much fun - playing in makeup, learning to make mixes, acquiring outfits and costumes, and twirling on any stage that I could get my heels on to! It wasn't long before the bug of competing in pageantry bit me. I competed in several bar pageants, and did well, but it wasn't until I competed in the Miss Gay America pageant system did I win my first pageant title - Miss Gay Philadelphia America 2023.
